Letter #3

Hi there,

I heard you are back in town. I saw your picture on Instagram the other day. You look great but for the hair. What happened? Did all that curl get too much for the Brits to handle? Or were they suspecting you? I wouldn’t be surprised. 

But I do wish we could laugh at it together. At the very dead white notion of traditions. I remember you teasing about my choice in books. “So very white!” You laughed. And then, a month later you left for Britain. You didn’t post much about it and I didn’t want to pester you, but I missed you.

It’s so good to see you back with the little old friend. He looks very happy to see you, too. I am happy to see you.
